 End SARS: Obiano sacks aide, says he will be prosecuted for his past crime as SARS OC

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State sacked one of his security appointees James Nwafor today following the End SARS protest rocking cities across the country and the governor also promised to ensure Mr.Nwafor is prosecuted for his alleged numerous crimes while he was the officer in charge of Awkuzu SARS in Anambra State.

It was alleged that not less than 100 youths were extra-judicially killed under James Nwafor as the head of the now-disbanded deadly Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, unit in Awkuzu, Anambra State.

"James Nwafor, former OC SARS in Anambra State is sacked and will be prosecuted" promised the Anambra State Governor.

Willie Obiano promised the protesting youths that he will ensure that everyone detained illegally in SARS cell in the state will be released. 

Anambra residents have taken to the street to protest the continuous protection enjoyed by Jame a Nwafor from the State government despite allegations of numerous extortion and extra-judicial killings perpetrated by him and his men in the state.

Nigerians are in the street across the country protesting the killings and extortion of the deadly Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit of the Nigerian police four days now although the unit is now disbanded with the Inspector General of Police replacing them with the Special Weapons and Tactical Unit, SWAT.
