 COVID-19: AC Milan striker breaks silence after contracting the virus 



AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic breaks silence after he tests positive to the virus today after undergoing tests in Milan.


"I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms what so ever. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea" says the Swedish.


Ibrahimovic took to his social media platforms to announced to his fans that he has tested positive to the deadly virus. 



Zlatan will miss AC Milan next Serie A match until he is fully recovered from the virus that has taken my lives across the world this year after it broke out in February.


The 39-year old returned to AC Milan in January this year after ending his spell in the Major League Soccer in America with LA Galaxy.


Ibrahimovic is one of the most decorated players in history and well-traveled too. He has played in all the major leagues across Europe.


The experienced striker is expected to fight off the virus within the next couple of days and then resume back to compete in the AC Milan squad.


The former Barcelona and PSG forward contour to prove his importance to the San Siro side by scoring both goals as AC Milan defeated Bologna in the Serie A opening match last weekend. 


Lombardy, where AC Milan and other top Italian clubs are located was the epicenter of the virus in Italy when it broke out this year. Italy was one of the worst-hit countries in the world at the height of the COVID-19.
