End SARS: APC chieftain, Akinyemi, commends Abiodun over the treatment of protesters in Ogun

Ogun All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain Olawale Aina Akinyemi commends Governor Dapo Abiodun for giving a listening ear to youths protesting against the End SARS and police brutality in Ogun State.

"The Governor has shown with his action in the last couple of days that he is on the side of the youths in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole as the agitation for an end to police brutality takes center stage in Major cities across Nigeria.

Dapo Abiodun played a crucial role in the release of more than 18 protesting youths arrested in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital last week by the police" says Akinyemi while reacting to the actions of the governor towards the protesters.

Hon. Akinyemi, who is one of the top supporters of the governor and a key member of APC from Abeokuta South Local Government is popular for his gestures towards the youths.

The soft-spoken politician is currently eyeing the position of Abeokuta South Local Government chair in the next Local Government election in Ogun State.

Meanwhile, youths in Abeokuta and other major towns in Ogun State continue their peaceful protest against police brutality despite the Inspector General of Police announcement of disbandment of the deadly Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS unit.
