Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label owner David Adeleke 'Davido' revealed the first female artist under his record label today hours after announcing that he is thinking of signing first female to the DMW label.

Davido announced that Liya, a Lagos-based female singer, and songwriter will be joining his record label as the first female under the label.

DMW, owned by Davido is one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria today with a number of A-list afrobeat singers under the label.

Top artists signed to Davido Music Worldwide include Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo, May-D, and now Liya.

Apart from running a successful label, Davido is one of the top afrobeat singers in Africa today with numerous hits and awards to his name since he broke into the music industry 10 years ago.

The signing of Liya to the DMW  record label is another feat in the call for gender equality and equal opportunity.
